High school students are beginning to figure things out. Developmentally, students are understanding their identity, deciding where they belong, and exploring their purpose in the world. By applying Biblical truths to topics they encounter everyday, students believe for themselves what it means to be a passionate follower of Christ and live as disciples of Jesus everyday.
In youth group, students:
Laugh and participate in fun activities.
Hear who God says they are, where they fit in, and what difference they can make.
Have a safe space to ask hard questions, be themselves, and build meaningful relationships.
Develop an understanding of the fullness and excitement of their faith.
Discover their unique talents, passions, and personalities to make an impact on God's people and His world.
Receive support and encouragement from small group leaders and host families.
Participate in corporate worship and service projects.
Serve on mission trips locally, nationally, or internationally.
Students meet at Evergreen on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30 pm most weeks September through April. If you know a student who would love to be connected to a healthy community or know an adult who would love to spend quality time with 9th - 12th grade students, email our director of youth ministries Jesse Moes!
