Middle school is a time of transition. Developmentally, students are beginning to understand their identity, where they belong, and what purpose they have in the world. By applying Biblical truths to topics they encounter everyday, students believe for themselves what it means to be a passionate follower of Christ and begin to say “yes” to Jesus everyday.
In youth group, students:
Laugh and participate in fun activities.
Hear who God says they are, where they fit in, and what difference they can make.
Have a safe space to ask hard questions, be themselves, and build meaningful relationships.
Develop an understanding of the fullness and excitement of their faith.
Receive support and encouragement from small group leaders and host families.
Participate in corporate worship and service projects.
Students meet at Evergreen on Sunday nights from 4:30-6:00 pm most weeks September through April. If you know a student who would love to be connected to a healthy community or know an adult who would love to spend quality time with 6th - 8th grade students, email our director of youth ministries Jesse Moes!
