As we are ending the year, the students have been challenged to increase their Bible literacy through a “Bible Challenge”. Each student can earn points, and each small group can earn points. We have been doing games during our large group time to encourage students to know more about the Bible – themes, characters, order of books, etc. We are coming up to the end of the Challenge, it will officially end on Wednesday, April 15th. Some students would like to work on some of the memorization over Spring Break and the next week. Here are what we are working on, as well as some links to helpful hints!
What can I do to earn points?
- Memorize the books of the Old Testament – here is one fun song from youtube, there are plenty more out there!
- Memorize the books of the New Testament – here is a youtube video, once again, there are plenty more available.
If rapping is your kids’ thing – this one does both Old and New Testament!
- Memorize sections of scripture. Here are the sections of scripture they can memorize, the longer the passage the more points it is worth.
1 Corinthians 13:1-7
1 John 2:5-6
- Worship Pages – if you are traveling over the Easter Holiday, you can print a worship page from here and fill it out for whichever service you attend. If you attend a Maundy Thursday or Good Friday service you can also turn in a page for that. If you do devotions or family worship this weekend, you can turn in a page for that as well. I will accept 2 pages for this weekend (April 2nd – 5th), and one for the following (April 12th).
