Youth is designed to nurture student’s spiritual growth in a fun, age appropriate atmosphere. We meet each Wednesday night from 6:30-8:00 pm from September to the first week of May. Small Group Leaders are dedicated to building relationships and caring for each student in the context of who God created them to be.
Faith Building Nights offer the opportunity to dig into God’s story, understand His past faithfulness and see how He is still working out His plan and purpose today. Using tools like “Explore the Story” and The Bible Project’s video resources, we read the Biblical text, discover the context of the story and witness God’s hand in the lives of imperfect people. Through this, we learn more about God’s great plan of redemption for his creation and how this applies to ourselves and our community. Memory work, prayer activities, small group discussion and other spiritual disciplines offer variety and depth to our experience.
Community Building Nights provide the opportunity to connect our faith with our community through service, learn more about our own gifts and strengths through special projects and celebrate the creativity that God has woven through us and His world. We build relationships through both large group activities and small group interactions.
We use a number of specific events to encourage student’s spiritual growth and participation: Fall Camp is an annual event that allows us to focus intensely on these opportunities and cultivate meaning relationships with each student and Small Group Leader. Arts Camp is a four-day event in the summer that allows students to reach out to their specific community and invite those that would benefit from getting to know God in a creative space.
Come and join us – there is a place for you here!
